you out. In this article, we are going to deliberate five (5) points that can
help us go a long way toward enhancing our health and possibly lowering the
risk of many cancers as well as stroke, heart diseases, diabetes and many
others.
Remember that any small
changes can have a big impact and so we need to be vigilant. In a quick recap,
let me share with you what I shared in my previous article regarding the causes
of road accidents. Every individual life is precious and but it is rather
unfortunate we lose them on a daily basis due to accidents on land, air and
sea. one of the basic causes of accidents that occur on our road is reckless
driving. This is the first point I made. Some drivers have made it their habit
to drive carelessly regardless and it impacts our lives negatively. It is
unfortunate no one can tell what rushes into their mind to be in that state. I also
spoke of the inadequate streetlight. Drivers are forced to use headlights due
to inadequate streetlights on our roads especially here in Ghana. Due to this,
light from vehicles coming from the opposite direction continues to reflect on drivers’
eyes whiles they drive alongside and it is one major cause of road accidents in
Ghana.
Finally, I spoke of the lack
of supervision from the mandated institutions like the Police MTTD and the Driving
and vehicle licensing Authority (DVLA). They a to discharge their duty with
some level of professionalism in order to sieve the bad drivers from the good
ones. Their activity can help to promote road safety and environmental sustainability,
especially in Ghana but ideally is not the reality on the grounds. Let’s drive cautiously
to save and protect human lives.
Now on today’s topic, we
are going to look at apparently 5 (five) things we can do to stay healthy and protect
ourselves from cancer impacts.
It is important to keep
your weight checked and maintained because it has amazing health benefits. Hence,
if you’re overweight, focus on not gaining any more weight. To achieve this, limit
the time you sit in front of your television set and be on the move more often.
Be mindful of the excess
use of tobacco as it causes many types of cancer along with other
complications. To stay healthy, avoid chewing tobacco or snuff or snus and stay
tobacco-free if necessary. Yea it’s hard but you can do it.
While your exposure to
sunlight has great benefits, too much exposure to it can lead to skin cancer such
as melanoma. Skin damage begins from early childhood and so let’s be mindful
and protect our children now. Engaging in too much tanning bed can equally be
detrimental to our health. Thus, exposing your body for so long to high ultraviolet
ray emissions can easily result in cancer.
There are several implications
that can result from unprotected sexual affairs. Sexually transmitted infections
like the human papillomavirus (HPV), HIV, and hepatitis can result in a number
of different cancers. The use of condoms can do a good job for you when at that
peak of having an affair with someone.
This is one of the best
ways to quickly identify and resolve any issue not going on well. A continuous test
can help protect yourself against cancer. It will be better and improved when we
engaged in continuous screening.
